Farm Strikes Back is a project on which I worked during a 1 week game jam, as a developper, and as a game designer. The game jam's theme was "1 button" : the goal was to create a mobile video game that use only one controller. Our game was playable on mobile, only using the gyroscope functionnality. Player uses the gyroscope to control a flat platform on which there are peoples. If the platform is tilting too much, peoples will fall. Game stops when there isn't any people on the platform. Moreover, items are falling down, in order to make the platform tilting. So, you have to survive the longest time possible !
You can download the gamehere and test it on your mobile !
Programming with the gyroscope was really difficult, so there are still little bugs, but Farm Strikes Back remains fun to play !
Farm Strikes Back is also my second mobile game on which I worked. As a level designer, it was difficult to balance, because it becomes hard really fast in the game (few people achieve to go beyond the first minute of the game) . So, there is bonus items (little yellow coins that drop on the board) that help player by making items go through the platform.
