During six months in 2018, i have worked on the game Brave Frontier RPG as a QA tester. This experience allowed me to discover from the inside how it is to work on a mobile game regularly updated.. I also learned a lot about the work on the quality / assurance of a game. My main tasks during this internship was to test different updates (weekly, monthly, etc.) , to report bugs to developpers and designers, and to create adapted test plans.
My work was to test each week the different updates on the server side of the game Brave Frontier RPG (the server updates contained new units, new dungeons, and new tombolas to get units) . It allowed me to work on different kind of test plans (about units, items, dungeons, game modes, game versions, etc.) .
I also worked on testing monthly client updates on the games. Those updates included content server side and client side (such as new features and updated interfaces) .
When testing, i reported bugs by using Redmine, a task management web application that i used to write bug reports, and to send them to the concerned developers (depending of the part of the game they were working on) and designers. It allowed me to fully understand who worked on what part of the game, and what were the processes during each update of the game when finding bugs.
